Women's Soccer Earns Second Straight Win With Dominant Performance At Home

The Hornets scored early and often, taking control of the contest from the opening kick. SUNY Broome controlled the possession en route to the victory, outshooting the Panthers 30-1.
Paisley Jeziorski continued her recent scoring success with an early goal in the seventh minute on an assist from Adrianna Finta. The duo traded places in the 14th minute when Finta netted a goal on an assist from Jeziorski. Finta then struck again on an assist from Jalyn McCarthy in the 25th minute as the Hornets scored the first three goals of the contest.
The Panthers inched closer with a goal in the 39th minute, but just over a minute later the Hornets quickly regained control when Paige Weaver found the back of the net on an assist from Finta.
After taking a 4-1 lead into the halftime break, SUNY Broome opened the second half the same way it ended the first half. Weaver quickly struck for her second goal of the match on an assist from Finta in the 47th minute. The two teammates continued playing well off one another as Finta scored her third goal on an assist from Weaver in the 58th minute.
Jeziorski joined back in on the scoring in the 63rd minute when she slotted home a goal on an assist from Riley McNamara. Emelinne Corrington tallied the final Hornets' goal in the 83rd minute as SUNY Broome delivered one last scoring punch in the wire-to-wire win.
This contest was the second in a row in which Finta tallied a hat trick, and her third in the last four contests, as she has quickly seen her season goal total rise to nine and her season point total rise to 25.
With the win, SUNY Broome improves to 3-5-1 on the season and will look to continue its success in a matchup vs North Country CC on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
