The Hornets battled the Lazers tightly in all three sets, but each one resulted in a narrow defeat. Onondaga pulled out the match by scores of 25-19, 25-20, and 25-22.
SUNY Broome tallied 24 kills and committed 14 errors out of 74 total attempts across the three sets. The Hornets best hitting percentage came in the second set when they landed 11 kills and made just two errors in 23 total attempts. The .391 mark was the highest of the match among both teams.
Nevaeh Masso led SUNY Broome in points contributed with 16. Notably, she logged 13 kills and seven digs. Amariah Argro was next in points contributed with seven, thanks to seven kills and five digs. Kendra Terrell tied for a match-high in assists with 21.
Now sitting at 1-1 on the season, the Hornets will next travel to Batavia, NY on Saturday for a POD hosted by Genesee CC. SUNY Broome will matchup with Jamestown CC at 2:00 pm and Genesee at 4:00 pm.
