The women's volleyball team picked up a win over Monroe CC but fell to Finger Lakes CC at a Tri-Match on October 11.

The women's volleyball team picked up a win over Monroe CC but fell to Finger Lakes CC at a Tri-Match on October 11.
The Hornets began their day by taking on Monroe CC. SUNY Broome won the first set but lost the next two, only to win the fourth set to force a decisive fifth set, which the Hornets also won. SUNY Broome came away with the 3-2 victory by set scores of 27-25, 19-25, 13-25, 25-18, and 15-9.
Nevaeh Masso had a whopping 27 kills and added 18 digs in the win. Amariah Argro added nine kills and 14 digs. Cecelia Cole had four kills. Katie Christian was a third Hornet with double-digit digs as she also had 14. Kendra Terrell collected 35 assists and six digs.
The Hornets' second match of the day came against the nationally-ranked #10 Finger Lakes Lakers. The Lakers were playing on their home court as they hosted the Region 3 Tri-Match, and they used that to their advantage for a 3-0 win. The set scores were 25-12, 25-27, and 25-15.
Argro led the Hornets in kills in this match with seven, while Masso added four and Cole added two. Terrell had 12 assists. Lea Ackley led the Hornets in digs in this match with eight. Masso and Terrell were just behind with seven and six, respectively.
