Women's Volleyball Challenges Finger Lakes At Home On Sophomore Night

After honoring two sophomores prior to the match, the women's volleyball team posed a challenge to nationally-ranked #10 Finger Lakes, but ultimately fell 3-1.
Before the match, sophomores Amariah Argro and Anna Le were honored for their contributions to the program.
The positive energy behind the Sophomore Recognition ceremony carried over into the first set as the Hornets pulled off a 25-22 upset. The second, third, and fourth sets remained competitive and SUNY Broome continued to show that it was up for the challenge against a nationally-ranked opponent, but the Lakers ended up winning all three in a row to secure the 3-1 victory. Those set scores were 25-14, 25-16, and 25-18 in favor of Finger Lakes.
Nevaeh Masso led SUNY Broome in kills with five while Argro was a close second with four, and Cecelia Cole added two. Kendra Terrell and Lea Ackley combined for 14 assists. Masso also led the team in digs with 13.
