The Hornets and Cannoneers were evenly-matched through the first half of play, with SUNY Broome leading 37-35 at the break.
Jefferson used an 11-point advantage in the second half to secure the win on its home floor. Helpful in the process was the fact that the Cannoneers made 22 free throws out of 34 attempts compared to SUNY Broome going 9-12 from the charity stripe during the contest.
Christopher Zielewicz scored 18 points and pulled down eight rebounds. Xavier Thomas-Davis had 11 points and six rebounds. Tyrell Davender contributed nine points and seven rebounds. Braeden Davis came off the bench to make four three-pointers en route to 12 points.
SUNY Broome finishes the season with an overall record of 9-15.
