Men's Soccer Stumbles 10-0 At #3 Herkimer
The men's soccer team lost a 10-0 final on the road at then nationally-ranked #3 Herkimer College on Saturday.

The men's soccer team lost a 10-0 final on the road at then nationally-ranked #3 Herkimer College on Saturday.
The Generals got off to a hot start, scoring five goals in the first 25 minutes of play to take a 5-0 lead. Herkimer tacked on another goal in the 30th minute to take a 6-0 lead into the halftime break.
The Herkimer offense struck again early in the second half with goals in the 51st and 53rd minutes en route to a 10-0 win. The win moved the Generals up to the #2 overall national ranking in the latest NJCAA Division 3 men's soccer poll.
Alex Lamoreaux registered two shots for the Hornets while Charles Larrabee, Jaiden Insixiengmay, and Corey Cottrell had one shot apiece.
Elliot Weinreich made 10 saves in goal for the Hornets in the loss.
After beginning the season 1-0, the Hornets have now dropped their last four contests, and will look to get back in the win column on September 20 when they host another nationally-ranked opponent in Finger Lakes CC, which just rose up from #6 to #3 in the latest NJCAA Division 3 men's soccer poll.
