Women Compete At NJCAA National Championship Meet

Aisling King led the team by earning All-American status in the shot put as she placed 5th overall in the event.
King threw a distance of 10.48 meters in the event, finishing 5th. The top eight finishers in each of the events at the National Championship are awarded All-American honors by the NJCAA, so King received the recognition with her placing in the shot put.
Also competing at the National Championship meet was Hannah Sanford, who added to the Hornets' successful showing in the shot put. Sanford reached a PR in the event by throwing 7.76 meters. She also threw 25.27 meters in the discus to place 12th overall.
Lastly, Gabriella Vazquez placed 12th overall in the javelin by throwing a distance of 21.36 meters and placed 13th overall in the discus by throwing a distance of 24.31 meters.
Congratulations to the women's track & field team on a successful and competitive season which culminated with yet another NJCAA National Championship meet in which a team member earned All-American status.
