Women Compete At Capital District Classic

Aisling King delivered the headlining performance for the women as she placed 10th overall in the shot put, throwing a distance of 10.69 meters.
Fatima Njie ran the 200 meter dash in 33.13 seconds.
Sage Tifft recorded her best time of the season for the 800 meter run with a mark of 2:57.08, breaking three minutes for the first time all season.
Lastly, Gabriella Vazquez threw 8.44 meters in the shot put and 23.13 meters in the discus.
Friday's activities closed out the regular season for SUNY Broome. Next, the Hornets will prepare to compete in the NJCAA Region 3 Championship meet. That will take place on May 2 at Mohawk Valley CC.
The women's team was Runner-Up at the Region 3 Championship last season and is looking for another strong performance this year.
