The Hornets held the Lakers below 40 points in the 58-38 win. SUNY Broome gradually built its lead before dominating the fourth quarter with a 19-6 advantage. The Hornets held a 22-19 lead at the half and were up by seven after three.
Nnyala Stark contributed a monster performance, notching a double-double of 13 points and 20 rebounds. Juliana Turner led the Hornets in scoring with 15 points on 6-14 shooting off the bench, adding five rebounds.
Adrianna Finta made her impact on the game well-known with 12 points, five rebounds, three assists, six steals, and two blocks. Natalie Andi shot an efficient 5-10 off the bench on her way to a 10-point, six-rebound performance.
On defense, SUNY Broome limited the Lakers to 16.1% shooting from the field and 15.4% shooting on three-pointers. The Hornets improved to 4-12 overall with the convincing road win.
