On May 7 at the annual SUNY Broome Foundation Student Awards Recognition Reception, the Athletic Department presented two SUNY Broome student-athletes with an award.
At the reception, SUNY Broome Athletics honored 2025-26 recipients Adrianna Finta and Xavier Thomas-Davis with the Coach Richard Baldwin Exemplary Athlete Award.
As described in the formal program for the ceremony, "established in 2013 by friends and family in memory of Coach Baldwin, this scholarship honors the winningest basketball coach in the College's history, who built and sustained its basketball program. It recognizes outstanding student-athletes who demonstrate the values, academic commitment, and sportsmanship he exemplified each day."
Finta was a leading member of both the women's soccer and women's basketball teams during the 2025-26 year. She was recognized to All-Conference and All-Region in soccer and All-Conference in basketball. Thomas-Davis was a frequent starter for the men's basketball team during the year, averaging more than 6 points and 6 rebounds per game.
Of great importance, in addition to their athletic success, both Finta and Thomas-Davis also demonstrated academic strength throughout the year.
Congratulations to Adrianna and Xavier!
