Women's Volleyball Falls In Road Match At #2 Finger Lakes CC
The women's volleyball team lost a road match against #2 Finger Lakes on the Lakers' Sophomore Day on Tuesday, 3-0.

The Lakers are currently ranked #2 overall in the latest NJCAA Division III Women's Volleyball poll and own a record of 19-2, which now includes an 18 match winning streak after the defeat of Broome on Tuesday.
Finger Lakes recognized the sophomores from each team prior to the start of competition, and once the match began, the Lakers took three sets in a row by scores of 25-14, 25-18, and 25-19.
The Hornets battled very well to make the second and third sets close for a Finger Lakes team that is used to blowing out opponents as of late.
Kate Spencer had five kills for Broome in addition to four digs. Ayshah Almashni collected a match-high 18 digs. Amariah Argro had four assists to go with seven digs while Ha Tran had six assists. Lejla Cehic had a match-high two solo blocks.
In its last four contests, the team has suffered losses to Hudson Valley, SUNY Adirondack, Genesee, and now Finger Lakes.
The Hornets will look to get back on track this Saturday when they host a POD against NJCAA Region III competition. Broome will face off against SUNY Niagara at 1:00 PM and then Erie CC at 3:00 PM.
