All-State Center Back From Chenango Forks Signs With SUNY Broome
Class of 2025 center back Aiden Argento has signed a letter of intent to join the SUNY Broome men's soccer team.
Class of 2025 center back Aiden Argento has signed a letter of intent to join the SUNY Broome men's soccer team.
Argento attends nearby Chenango Forks High School. The senior is a three-year varsity starter who has earned team captaincy.
In his career, Argento has been recognized as an All-Conference and All-State player through multiple STAC All-Star selections and being named to the 2024-25 New York State Small School All-State Team. During his time with the team, Chenango Forks won two Section IV Class B Championships and advanced into the state tournament as far as the New York State Class B State Semifinal.
In the 2024-25 season, he helped lead Chenango Forks to a Section IV Class B Championship, ultimately falling in the New York State Class B Regional Final. Argento anchored a defense that allowed less than one goal per contest and posted nine shutouts in the regular season and a shutout in the Section IV Championship.
Argento plays travel soccer for the CF Empire Soccer Club and enjoys sports and video games in his free time. He will be studying Liberal Arts at SUNY Broome beginning in the fall of 2025.
