Joseph Dantuono from the men's track & field team was chosen as the SUNY Broome Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of April 27 through May 3, 2026. On May 2, Dantuono and his teammates competed at the NJCAA Region 3 Championship meet. At the meet, Joseph won the Region 3 Championship in two events. Dantuono took 1st place in the shot put by throwing a distance of 12.19 meters. Additionally, he took 1st place in the discus by throwing a distance of 36.29 meters. This distance also set a personal record and met the qualifying standard for the NJCAA National Championship meet. In addition to being the NJCAA Region 3 Champion in two events, it was announced at the conclusion of the meet that Dantuono had landed on the Region 3 Men's Track & Field All-Region Team. Furthermore, he was named the Men's Field Athlete of the Meet for the Region 3 Championship meet.
