Bryson Castro from the men's track & field team was named the SUNY Broome Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of April 20 through April 26, 2026. During the week, the Hornets competed in the Capital District Classic, hosted by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Castro was a top performer for the team, posting two personal records and one school record. Bryson set a PR in the 400 meter dash at 53.52 seconds, which also set a school record, surpassing the record of 55.93 set by his teammate Nevan Doubleday earlier in the season. Castro had another PR in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:10.22.
