Aisling King from the women's track & field team was tabbed as the final SUNY Broome Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2025-26 year as the Spring sports season came to an end for Broome's teams following the conclusion of the NJCAA Division 3 Outdoor Track & Field National Championship meet on May 9. Aisling and several of her SUNY Broome track & field teammates competed in the National Championship meet. King had the best finish in an event out of all SUNY Broome participants, as she took 5th overall in the shot put. Aisling threw a distance of 10.48 meters in the event and earned All-American status. The top eight finishers in each of the events at the National Championship are awarded All-American honors by the NJCAA, so King received the recognition with her placing in the shot put.
